La Voix has ruled out a return to the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor this year and confessed she is "gutted" not to have been offered a presenting role on the BBC show. The RuPaul's Drag Race star, who competed in the last series, appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain to discuss her future on the programme.
Injury Forced Early Exit
La Voix was partnered with professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec during the 2025 series of Strictly Come Dancing. However, she was forced to withdraw early after suffering a foot injury. Fellow contestant Dani Dyer also exited the competition due to injury but has since been confirmed to return this year for another chance to win the Glitterball trophy. La Voix, however, indicated she will not be following suit.
No Second Chance on the Dancefloor
During her appearance on Good Morning Britain, host Ed Balls asked La Voix why she couldn't have a second go at the competition. She replied: "No, do you know what? I can't..." Joking, she added: "I cannot spend any more time with Aljaz trying to learn the cha cha cha. It was exhausting trying to get him to keep up with me. It really was." She concluded: "I did my time. We tried."
Presenting Snub
La Voix also revealed her disappointment at not receiving a call from BBC bosses following the departure of long-time hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly. The presenting duo announced last year that they would leave the show at the end of the 2025 series. After months of speculation, it was confirmed that Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe will take over as the programme's new hosts.
Speaking to Ed Balls and Kate Garraway, La Voix said: "I would have loved... I made it no subtlety that I wanted to be a, a presenting role on Strictly. Of course I would have loved it. Did I get the call? No. Am I gutted? Absolutely." She added: "I wish them all the best of luck on that show. I didn't get the call, but I'd like to, of course."
Confirmed Celebrities for New Series
So far, four celebrities have been confirmed for the forthcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing. Celebrity hair stylist Chris Appleton, EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, singer-songwriter Delta Goodrem, and former Love Islander Dani Dyer have all signed up for the ballroom competition.
Good Morning Britain airs on ITV from 6am, and Strictly Come Dancing is available on BBC iPlayer.
