Kym Marsh had her bandmates in stitches during a live interview on Thursday (8th October) when she made a cheeky quip about her romantic history. The 50-year-old is preparing to marry for a fourth time, having revealed her relationship with partner Tom Dickinson last year.
A history of weddings
The former Coronation Street actress has walked down the aisle three times previously, first with former EastEnders actor Jack Ryder, then Jamie Lomas and Scott Ratcliff. She shares three children - David and Emilie with ex-partner Dave Cunliffe, and daughter Polly with Jamie.
Kym is amongst the founding members of Hear'Say, who are preparing to embark on a tour with Liberty X next year to mark their 25th anniversary. Those returning to belt out the cherished anthems include Kym, Suzanne Shaw, Danny Foster and Noel Sullivan from Hear'Say, alongside Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor, Tony Lundon, Kevin Simm and Kelli Young from Liberty X.
Addressing the rivalry
While publicising the tour, the bands were quizzed about a supposed rivalry between them - an enduring speculation that has followed them since they went head-to-head on the TV show Popstars. Tackling the speculation, Michelle said: "I suppose the press built that case for us, it wasn't really warranted from our end. But I think that was, kind of, looking back, it was inevitable because we were the final 10, we were made into two bands, so that was kind of going to happen."
When questioned about whether they would reunite and catch up after the conclusion of Popstars, Michelle revealed that she was a guest at Kym's wedding. In response, Kym cheekily asked: "Which one?", causing laughter to ripple through the studio.
Wedding memories and future plans
Michelle, Jessica and Kelli were all in attendance at Kym's nuptials to Jack, which took place at St Albans Cathedral in Hertfordshire. After Michelle shared a good memory from the wedding, Kym agreed with her saying it was "great".
Announcing their split in 2012, they said: "It is with sadness and regret that we have to announce we will be taking a trial separation." A separate statement claimed the pair's split is "amicable and they remain friends, with Jack continuing to see Kym's children, David and Emily".
Last month, Kym posted several photos of herself with her future husband, whom she referred to as her "best friend, rock [and] my everything". "This last year has been my favourite and I can't wait for our next adventure. Yours forever and always," she continued to enthuse. While many fans showed their support in the comments section, some were less positive when sharing their views on her love life. She later addressed the negative feedback on Instagram, posting: "Thank you for all the love! Don't worry about haters cos I don't."
