Kym Marsh Celebrates 50th Birthday with Fiance Tom Dickinson

Former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh celebrated her 50th birthday in style, taking over Suzie's Bar in Churchtown, a suburb of Southport, with her family and friends. The TV star looked dazzling as she headed out with her fiance Tom Dickinson to mark the milestone occasion.

Party at Suzie's Bar

The couple booked out the entire bar, which features a botanical theme and a large terrace popular with locals. The night was so warm that Kym changed from a black sequinned Balenciaga dress with full sleeves into a strappy black dress to cope with the sizzling temperatures during the UK heatwave.

Well Wishes from Friends and Fans

Friends shared pictures on Instagram, including former Hear'Say bandmate Danny Foster, who wrote: "50 years of you! Sorry we couldn't be there, all the love for another trip around the sun." Fans also commented on her youthful appearance, with Joyce Murray Nealon saying: "Kym you could not be 50 your gorgeous and so young looking." Hugh Terry added: "Sure it's not 40?"

Recent Career Highlights

Kym has had a busy start to 2026, finishing a national theatre tour of Single White Female alongside Lisa Faulkner, where she played the psychotic flatmate. The tour ended on her actual 50th birthday, and she celebrated with cast and crew before returning home for her family party.

Earlier this year, she told the Manchester Evening News about turning 50: "I feel fine about it you know. It's just a number. It's not like I hit 50 and go 'oh quick get my bus pass'."

Romance with Tom Dickinson

The mum-of-four looked loved up with her beau Tom, who she became engaged to earlier this year after a whirlwind romance.

Coronation Street Legacy

It has been 20 years since Kym debuted on Coronation Street as Michelle Connor, a role she played from 2006 to 2019. Confirming her departure, she said: "When I was lucky enough to be offered four episodes on Coronation Street I could never in my wildest dreams have thought I’d be here 13 years later. It’s been an incredibly difficult decision but it feels like the right time for me to take a break from the show and explore some other roles. But this isn’t the last you’ve heard of Michelle Connor, she’ll be back!"

Michelle is still missed in Weatherfield, especially during storylines involving her son Ryan Connor and Carla Connor. Fans often call for her return, but there is no update yet.

Since the theatre tour, Kym has returned to guest presenting on BBC's Morning Live alongside Gethin Jones.
