Kylie Minogue's Brother Brendan Appears in Netflix Show

Kylie Minogue fans are well-acquainted with her sister Dannii, but the pop icon has another sibling who remains largely out of the public eye. The 57-year-old singer recently released a new Netflix documentary titled Kylie, which traces her journey from soap opera star to international chart-topper. The series features interviews with those closest to her, including a rare glimpse of her brother Brendan.

Brendan Minogue's Brief Appearance

In Episode 1 of the documentary, Brendan is seen during a family barbecue scene alongside Kylie, her sister Dannii, their mother Carol, and father Ronald. Brendan, now 55, works as a camera operator and prefers to avoid the limelight. He has previously appeared in other projects featuring Kylie, such as the 2001 special An Audience with Kylie Minogue.

Family Support System

Despite his low profile, Brendan has been a crucial part of Kylie's support network. In an interview with the BBC, Kylie revealed that she turns to her parents, brother, and sister when things go wrong. She also shared that Brendan taught her a stress-relief technique called the 'foofer valve,' which involves making a hissing sound like a kettle releasing steam to let out emotion. This method proved vital during the early stages of her career.

Reflecting on her upbringing in the documentary, Kylie said: "I was raised without any putdowns, without ever hearing 'You can't do this, you can't do that.' We were just encouraged to do what we liked." This positive environment fostered the strong bond between the siblings.

The synopsis states: "Featuring footage from home movies, personal photographs, and new interviews with Kylie herself, the documentary shows the woman behind the hits.
