Kylie Jenner Slammed for Putting Spray Tans and Handbags Above Kids in Gratitude List
Kylie Jenner Slammed for Gratitude List Snubbing Kids

Kylie Jenner found herself at the center of a social media firestorm after posting a list of things she is grateful for, and shockingly, her two children did not even crack the top five. The reality star, 28, took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday to share a mirror selfie while her gratitude list was plastered across the screen.

It read: 'coffee hallelujah, kris jenner hallelujah, spray tans hallelujah, birkin wall hallelujah, king kylie hallelujah, stormi & aire hallelujah, kylie cosmetics hallelujah, doing what i love hallelujah, 445 cc hallelujah, poker nights hallelujah, my cat hallelujah, drunk cig hallelujah, realizing things hallelujah.'

Jenner shares daughter Stormi, eight, and son Aire, four, with her ex-partner Travis Scott. Fans were quick to pounce after a Reddit user shared a screenshot under the headline: 'Look at all the things she put above her children?!?'

One commenter summed up the outrage perfectly: 'The kids should be first,' while another fumed, 'YOUR children deserve better. Imagine in a few years time, seeing that your own mother picked her handbags and spray tan over you.'

Another follower piled on, writing: 'Spray tans before her kids is wild. But tbh, I am surprised she listed her kids at all.' Someone else added: 'She only listed them to save face, she DGAF.'

And one cheekily wrote: 'I am surprised the kids are not lower.' Yet another exclaimed: 'OH MY GOD. This is honestly shocking. How unaware can you be to not only admit that but post it for the world to see. Spray tans over your kids?!!'

The backlash comes just weeks after Jenner sparked outrage by posting a photo of her pet cat, with many accusing her of treating the feline as little more than a trendy accessory. In a series of casual photos, Jenner showed off her white and grey cat, including one where she cradles it like a baby in her hoodie. Another snap features a close-up of Kylie holding the cat, with her diamond-encrusted nails almost stealing the spotlight from the cat's blinged-out leash.

While fans were quick to speculate about the cost of the leash, it was the suggestion that Kylie was turning her pet into an accessory that really rubbed people the wrong way, especially given her history of owning over eight dogs, none of which have appeared on her feed in recent months.

The backlash began when one follower posted the photos with the caption: 'Genuine question: Where are her dogs??? Is this cat just what fits her aesthetic this year? I wonder when she will get bored and move on to something else.' The comment section exploded in outrage, with fans flooding in to voice their disapproval.

One follower shot back, 'I feel awful for her new cat-accessory that is just going to be used as an Instagram prop instead of treated like a living creature.' Another was less forgiving, bluntly saying, 'Using the cat like a f****** accessory.'

But it did not stop there. One commenter took a deeper dive into the type of cat Kylie chose, posting, 'Scottish Folds are born deformed and should not be glamorized - these cats suffer with pain.' They added, 'Also, it is interesting how her dogs are never around anymore and nobody ever sees them.' And the sympathy did not end. One follower even wrote, 'Praying for this poor pretty kitty, someone please rescue her and give her to a responsible person.'

The controversial post comes after Jenner shared racy promotional images for her latest Kylie Cosmetics launch, going braless in a daring low-cut white mini dress. Away from her beachside snaps, Jenner has also been making moves in the property market, recently putting her lavish Hidden Hills mansion on the market for a cool $20.25 million.

The cosmetics mogul has tapped real estate trio Josh and Matt Altman, along with Heather Altman, known for their appearances on Million Dollar Listing, to handle the high-profile sale. Set on roughly 1.4 acres, the sleek modern farmhouse spans more than 13,000 square feet and boasts a resort-style backyard complete with a pool, spa, fire pit and fully equipped outdoor kitchen.

Inside, the expansive home features eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms, along with a host of luxury amenities designed for both relaxation and entertaining. Among its standout features are a private cinema, a games room with a built-in bar, a spacious office with a fireplace, as well as a gym and dedicated massage room. Jenner originally purchased the property in 2016 for just over $12 million, when she was still in her teens, and has since transformed it into a family-friendly retreat. The estate also includes a separate guest suite with its own entrance, complete with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and cosy living space.

Meanwhile, Jenner and Chalamet's Hollywood romance has been one of the most talked-about celebrity pairings since they first sparked dating rumours in April 2023, not long after Jenner's high-profile split from Travis Scott. The duo went public later that year, making a splash with a loved-up appearance at Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour stop in Los Angeles, where their PDA fuelled headlines and confirmed the buzz.

Over the past few years the pair have played coy about their relationship, often keeping their outings low-key while supporters and sceptics alike watched every move. Chalamet even kept mum about his personal life, telling Vogue he had 'nothing to say' when asked directly about Jenner. Still, the couple's bond was on full display during awards season. At the 2026 Critics Choice Awards, Chalamet not only won Best Actor for Marty Supreme but openly thanked Jenner in his acceptance speech, calling her his 'partner of three years' and declaring his love from the stage. The pair then turned heads at the 2026 Oscars, arriving together as one of Hollywood's most high-profile couples, only for Chalamet to suffer disappointment when he lost out on the Best Actor gong.
