Zuma Rossdale, the 15-year-old son of Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, made his musical debut this week at Blake Shelton's bar in Oklahoma. Dressed in a cowboy hat and armed with an acoustic guitar, the teenager performed a country song in front of a packed audience at the venue, named Ole Red.
Shelton, 48, who is married to Stefani, introduced Zuma to the stage. The young performer sang Zach Bryan's 2022 track 'Oklahoma Smokeshow' as his mother watched proudly from the crowd. The performance marked Zuma's first foray into live music, following in the footsteps of his famous parents.
Social media reactions to the performance were overwhelmingly positive. One user wrote: 'Zuma sounds great! And Blake grinning ear to ear!' Another commented: 'Oh my goodness!!! I’m so impressed! He’s got "it"! A natural! Go, Zuma!' A third person added: 'He’s amazing! He has the Stefani genes + Blake’s influence.'
Zuma is not the first of Stefani and Rossdale's children to take the stage at Ole Red. His older brother Kingston, now 18, previously made an impromptu performance. The couple also shares a younger son, Apollo. Stefani and Rossdale divorced in 2016, and she married Shelton in 2021 at his Oklahoma ranch.
Shelton has spoken openly about his close relationship with his stepchildren. In a 2021 radio interview, he said: 'I have a blast with it... I can’t imagine my life without these kids now.' He later added that he takes his role as a stepparent seriously, stating: 'The kids see me as a very important person in their life... I don’t want any regrets.'
