Kylie Jenner has stripped down for a new campaign with Swedish fashion brand Acne Studios, posing topless in a series of images promoting its FW23 denim collection. The 26-year-old entrepreneur and reality star appears with minimal makeup, wearing only the brand's iconic jeans in some shots, while others feature her in oversized silhouettes and distressed denim.
The campaign, titled 'unapologetic self-love', was shot by Dutch photographer and director Carlijn Jacobs. Several images depict two versions of Kylie interacting, a creative choice Jacobs explained as celebrating her individuality. 'She loves herself and is not afraid to show it,' Jacobs said.
Fans have reacted enthusiastically on social media, with sister Khloe Kardashian commenting 'WOOOOWWWWW' on one post. Other followers praised Kylie's modelling skills, with one writing 'A REAL TOP MODEL'. The campaign marks a departure from Kylie's usual polished image, embracing a more raw and undone aesthetic.
Acne Studios, founded by Creative Director Jonny Johansson in 1996, has always placed denim at the core of its identity. Johansson described denim as 'rebellious but practical' and 'a very sustainable material' that people wear for years. The FW23 denim collection and accessories will be available from 31 August 2023 in stores and online.
