Shock jock Kyle Sandilands, 47, has showcased a significant weight loss after being pictured leaving Network Ten's studios in Sydney on Saturday. The KIIS FM host, known for his controversial comments and larger-than-life personality, appeared slimmer as he filmed the pilot episode for his new reality show, Trial By Kyle.
Sandilands, who has struggled with his weight for over a decade, revealed on The Kyle & Jackie O Show last year that he had weighed 135kg. His weight loss journey has been marked by several health scares, including a hospitalisation in 2011 due to high blood pressure during filming of Australia's Got Talent.
In 2014, his GP urged him to lose weight after he suffered a hernia, which caused him to vomit live on air. Despite these warnings, Sandilands struggled to change his diet and lifestyle. In 2015, he stripped off on national television on Channel Seven's The Morning Show, declaring, 'I am a mess and would like to live a bit longer.'
Sandilands' recent appearance suggests he has taken steps to improve his health, with his trademark black blazer framing his new figure. The radio star has previously joked about his weight, saying in 2008, 'I'm fat myself. I have to lose weight, but every Sunday I tell myself I should and I'll start on Monday, but I don't.'
