Jurgen Klopp's agent, Marc Kosicke, has categorically ruled out any possibility of the former Liverpool manager taking over at Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League. Speculation had emerged suggesting Klopp might be considering a return to management in the Middle East after leaving Anfield in the summer of 2024. However, Kosicke dismissed such claims with a blunt response.
Agent's Firm Denial
Speaking to WinWin, Kosicke expressed frustration over the rumors, stating: "I am annoyed by all this bull ****. It's all annoying and nonsense." This unequivocal statement puts to bed any talk of Klopp moving to Saudi Arabia.
Real Madrid Speculation
Klopp's name also surfaced during the Real Madrid presidential election campaign. Candidate Enrique Riquelme had promised to appoint the German if elected, saying: "The manager we want for our Real Madrid project is Jurgen Klopp." However, Riquelme lost the election to Florentino Perez, and Jose Mourinho is now set to succeed Xabi Alonso at Chelsea, leaving Klopp's immediate future uncertain.
Liverpool's New Era
Meanwhile, Liverpool have appointed Andoni Iraola as their new head coach. The Spaniard has drawn comparisons to Klopp for his tactical approach. Klopp himself praised Iraola in 2023, highlighting his ability to turn Bournemouth's fortunes around. "They turned it around, wow. That's real coaching," Klopp said. "They have a really good mix, they play football, they find direction in the right moments."
Klopp has shown no signs of wanting to return to management, instead enjoying time away from the dugout. His agent's comments reinforce that any speculation about a return is unfounded.
