King Kenny breaks silence on Maya Jama romance rumours

King Kenny has broken his silence on rumours that he and Celebrity Traitors co-star Maya Jama are dating, saying the pair simply "laugh at it". The YouTube star was photographed leaving the presenter's north London home after the show's finale, sparking speculation among fans.

Bond Forged on Celebrity Traitors

Kenny, 29, and Jama became close while plotting together as Traitors on the BBC series. He had gathered with Jama and other cast members to watch the last episode and also attended her annual Halloween party in London. Eagle-eyed followers noticed matching interiors in their social media posts around the same time.

Despite the speculation, insiders have maintained that their relationship is purely platonic. Sources close to Jama confirmed that she is single and that she and Kenny are merely close friends. They pointed out that a broader circle of friends was staying over to mark Halloween and watch the series finale, with Kenny sleeping on the sofa.

Kenny's Response on Capital XTRA

During a radio appearance on Capital XTRA, Kenny directly addressed the gossip. Host Robert Bruce said to him: "They (paparazzi) are all taking pictures of you and Maya, you and Maya. What's going on? Why are they doing that to you?"

Kenny replied: "I don't know, man," as he attempted to shut down the questioning. Bruce pressed further, asking whether he and Jama discussed the speculation: "Do you guys talk about that kind of stuff? Like, 'aw look what they're doing.' What's it like for you guys?"

Acknowledging they find it amusing, Kenny said: "Uh, yeah, we just laugh at it, to be honest. That's just what happens, innit, when you're in the limelight? You've just got to laugh at it and move on."

Finale and Jama's Relationship History

Kenny and Jama both reached the final of Celebrity Traitors Series 2, though Jama departed at the final roundtable with Kenny casting his vote against her. The series was ultimately won by comedian Romesh Ranganathan and musician Sebastian Croft after they banished Kenny, James Blunt and Leigh-Anne Pinnock in the closing stages.

Jama's public romantic history features several high-profile relationships. Most recently, she was dating Manchester City and Portuguese footballer Rúben Dias. Their relationship continued until early 2026, when Dias confirmed they had split. Jama and British grime artist Stormzy have also experienced an on-off relationship over the years, initially meeting in October 2014 and dating from early 2015. They parted ways in August 2019, then reignited their romance in 2023 before issuing a joint statement in July 2024 confirming their final separation, stating: "We tried, and it didn't work, and that's okay."

In May 2021, Jama started dating Australian NBA player Ben Simmons. They made the relationship public at Wimbledon in July 2021 and became engaged later that year over the Christmas period. By August 2022, they cancelled the engagement and went their separate ways, citing challenging long-distance arrangements and demanding careers.
