Jimmy Kimmel has responded to Donald Trump's criticism of his Oscars joke, saying he loves that it bothered the former president so much. During his Monday night show, Kimmel noted that Trump was 'still stewing' over the joke, in which Kimmel mocked Trump's Truth Social post about him on air.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump called Kimmel 'dumber than I thought' and said the joke backfired. Kimmel fired back, pointing out that 'Barbie was laughing at you' and that merchandise mocking Trump's 'jail time' comment is now for sale online. He also challenged Trump to a cognitive test or Scrabble game to see who has the 'biglier brain.'
Kimmel also addressed Trump's legal troubles, noting that his lawyers cannot find anyone to put up the $454m bond needed for his New York fraud case. 'Who would've ever guessed that a hard-earned reputation for not ever paying your bills would make it difficult to get credit?' Kimmel quipped.
Finally, Kimmel weighed in on Trump's 'bloodbath' comment at an Ohio rally, saying the real issue is that 'he's such a lunatic, we actually have to debate if he meant it literally.'
