Kim Kardashian has been spotted at the Singapore Grand Prix supporting her boyfriend Sir Lewis Hamilton. The reality star and businesswoman, 45, has been dating the British racing driver, 41, since the start of the year.
This weekend Sir Lewis is competing in the sprint race in the city-state, having what he has called a “mega start” after he claimed second place. On Saturday Kardashian was seen at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, Singapore, watching the race while wearing a halter neck pink gown.
Race performance
Although she has not spoken or posted about Sir Lewis’s result after watching on from the Ferrari garage, the seven-time world champion got off to a superb start as he blasted down the inside of the slippery grid to charge from sixth to third. He was soon up to second after race leader George Russell crashed into the barriers at the end of the opening lap and that is where he finished, unable to close down sprint winner Max Verstappen.
Sir Lewis spoke on Thursday about how he loved the “seat of the pants” wet-weather racing that he feels is no longer the same due to the “caution” of modern Formula One but he again showed his prowess in the damp conditions around Singapore’s streets.
“I had a mega start, which was awesome,” he said. “I love driving this track in the rain in those conditions so as soon as the heavens opened I was like ‘this is a great day’.”
Relationship timeline
In June Kardashian went Instagram official with Sir Lewis after they were spotted at a hotel in the Cotswolds together four months earlier. She and the British racing driver have posted a series of snaps together on holidays around the world but are yet to make a public statement on their relationship.
Kardashian was seen publicly supporting Sir Lewis at the Monaco Grand Prix earlier this year, and they were spotted together at the Super Bowl and Coachella music festival before he made their relationship Instagram official in August. In a social media post captioned “outtakes”, Sir Lewis shared a carousel of photos, including him and Kardashian embracing on a beach, with paintball guns and wearing racing helmets. The Skims founder posted a similar photo of them cuddled up on a beach and an intimate mirror selfie in a post captioned “somewhere over the rainbow”.
The couple have known each other since at least 2014, when they were photographed at the GQ Men of the Year awards with their partners at the time: West and singer Nicole Scherzinger. Kardashian and West divorced in 2022, and Sir Lewis and Scherzinger split up in 2015. The socialite and businesswoman has four children with her ex-husband, daughters North and Chicago and sons Saint and Psalm.
Kardashian on being single
Speaking to The Times earlier this month, Kardashian reflected on staying single following her divorce from West. “I was really single for five years,” she said. “And that felt great. I could focus on my kids and projects that I really wanted to be involved with. I really felt no rush. Like, I really didn’t feel empty. I felt like I needed my time. I wanted to completely heal and just work on myself. I wasn’t ready to open up. I really wasn’t even thinking about it. The universe works in your favour when you just allow it to.”
