Kim Kardashian has given a towel to Formula One driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli after she accidentally “stole” his at the Monaco Grand Prix. The American reality star and businesswoman, 45, caused a stir when she attended the event last weekend to support her boyfriend, Lewis Hamilton.
The Kardashians’ star has reportedly been dating the British racing driver, 41, since the start of the year and made their relationship “Instagram official” last week. Kardashian attended the event with her sister Khloe, marking her first appearance in the Formula One paddock since starting her relationship with the seven-time world champion.
Over the weekend, Kardashian was filmed wiping her face on a towel which she was unaware was reserved for Mercedes’ Italian driver Antonelli. Antonelli, 19, jokingly responded to the incident with a light-hearted video on social media a few days ago in which he repeatedly asked “where is my towel?”.
In a video posted on Antonelli’s Instagram on Friday, it was revealed that Kardashian had made amends for the faux pas by giving him a fresh white towel with “To Kimi from Kim” stitched on it. The clip, taken at this week’s Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, shows the Monaco Grand Prix champion being handed the new towel and draping it over his head and shoulders. He says: “Thank you Kim!”
Kardashian made her relationship with Hamilton “Instagram official” last week when she posted a picture of them cycling along a river in New York on a sunny day, appearing to lose control of the bike at one point. In recent months the couple have attended the Super Bowl together, taken a trip to Japan and been snapped at the Coachella music and arts festival in California. They have known each other since at least 2014, when they were photographed at the GQ Men of the Year awards with their partners at the time – Kanye West and Nicole Scherzinger. Kardashian and West divorced in 2022, and Hamilton and Scherzinger split up in 2015.
