Kim Kardashian has addressed the timing of her holiday photo posts following the death of her grandmother, Mary Jo Campbell, known as MJ, at age 91. The reality star explained that she was supporting her family during the difficult week.
Kim's Explanation
Kim — who spent time at the lake alongside Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and her kids Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7 — shared that she was actually supporting her family. "I've been by my mom and grandma's side this past week, and my heart is completely with my family right now," she said. "We love and miss her so deeply, and in the days ahead, we'll be focusing on celebrating her beautiful life."
Tribute to MJ
Shortly after clarifying her post's timing, Kim paid tribute to her grandmother: "My sweet Grandma MJ, my best friend, my gossip buddy, my forever twin... You taught all of us the importance of family, and those values are something we'll carry with us forever!!!!! You were the woman who showed me what it meant to be a hardworking businesswoman."
She added: "You gave me my very first job at your store in San Diego and taught me lessons about work ethic, strength, and confidence that I've carried with me ever since. You always believed in me, championed me, and were my safe place. You truly were the matriarch of our family, and your love is woven into all of us. I know you're at peace now. Give Papa Harry, Aunt Karen, and my dad a hug for me."

Following the tragic news, tributes poured in from family and friends. Kourtney's husband, Travis Barker, wrote: "Thinking of sweet MJ. She will be deeply missed." Nicky Hilton-Rothschild, a childhood friend of the family, added: "Sending you all so much love. What a remarkable life she lived and how deeply proud she was of all of you."

Over her life, MJ faced various health issues, including beating breast and colon cancer. Kim recalled: "When she had cancer, the radiation shrunk her intestines, so once a year she had these crazy fits where she would be throwing up all night and literally think she was gonna die."
