Kim Kardashian 'had gun to head' in Uganda with Kanye West

Kim Kardashian allegedly had a gun held to her head during a 2018 trip to Uganda with her former husband, Kanye West, according to a new biography.

The claim comes from Jonathan Van Meter's book Citizen Kim – The Woman Who Created the Future, which includes recollections from Farnaz Farjam, a former executive producer of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Alleged incident during Africa trip

Writing in the book, Jonathan says: "Farnaz Farjam, the executive producer of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, told me that she first realised how bad things were for the couple during a 2018 trip to Africa. They were shooting at a remote location in Uganda when Kanye became paranoid and agitated."

According to the book, Farnaz claimed: "He basically got the local police to believe that there were people trying to drug him, and so they came, and they had guns out. He had them raid everybody's rooms." During the alleged incident, one of the police officers "had a gun to Kim's head," which Farnaz claims was "intense".

She added to Jonathan: "I ended up having to get a private jet and get my crew out of there." However, Farnaz went on to add that she "forgave Kanye for the Africa fiasco 'because he lives with bipolar disorder and was in a manic place.'"

Previous Paris robbery

The alleged incident came two years after Kim was held at gunpoint by armed thieves who broke into her $14,000-a-night Paris hotel. The TV star came face-to-face with the masked men, dressed as policemen, after they forced their way past the single concierge, who was handcuffed and had a gun pressed to his head.

He was instructed to take them to Kim's room, where they demanded her engagement ring. During an episode of Keeping Up, Kim bravely revealed how she thought she would be raped and killed. She said: "Then he duct tapes my face and mouth to get me to not yell or anything and then he grabs my legs - and I have no clothes on - and he pulls me towards him at the front of the bed and I thought this is the moment they are going to rape me and I fully mentally prepped myself.

"And then he didn't and he duct taped my legs together and then they had the gun up to me and I just knew that was the moment they are totally going to shoot me in the head. I prayed that Kourtney is going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed."

Co-parenting after divorce

Despite Kim and Kanye officially divorcing in 2022, almost a decade after they married in 2014, the couple, despite a previously turbulent relationship, remain amicable. Kim told her biographer that co-parenting could be a "big burden".

She said: "Oh, I worry about [Kanye] all day. All the time. That's the father of my kids, I'll never not worry about him. And that's a big burden of having kids with someone who you don't necessarily get along with. My kids would never know that."

But she also attempts to put "all the negative things that happened" to the back of her mind. She added: "It's been pretty smooth for a while. I guess because we don't talk that much. But when we see each other, we give each other a hug."
