Nicole Kidman has given a rare insight into her two eldest children, Isabella, 27, and Connor, 25, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise. In an interview with Vanity Fair published in April 2019, the actress revealed details about their lives.
Isabella, who lives in London with her husband Max Parker, “really feels more English,” Kidman said. “We lived there for Eyes Wide Shut, Mission Impossible and The Portrait of a Lady. They both had English accents when they were little.” Connor, meanwhile, lives in Miami and works in the music industry.
Both children practise Scientology, like their father. Kidman said: “They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them.” She emphasised unconditional love, stating: “I am an example of that tolerance … no matter what your child does, the child has love … to sever that … I believe it’s wrong.”
The actress also spoke about her younger daughters with husband Keith Urban: Sunday, 12, and Faith, nine. She noted they play musical instruments and she limits their technology use: “They don't have a phone and I don't allow them to have an Instagram. I try to keep some sort of boundaries.”
During lockdown, Kidman said she enjoyed simple family moments. “I love being in the kitchen in the morning so that when my kids come down, there's noise and there's joy in the home. That's really important to me,” she told HELLO! magazine.
