Kevin Hart's latest Netflix film '72 Hours' has been a hit since its July 24 release, topping the Top 10 in both the US and UK. The comedy follows a 40-year-old man (Hart) who accidentally joins a bachelor party weekend after being added to a group chat.
The Height Question
Hart, now 47, is approximately 158 cm tall, which converts to 5 feet 2 inches. He has joked that with heeled shoes he could reach 5 feet 5 inches. The comedian has always said he embraces his height, and was quoted by celebheights.com as once saying: "I love being short, I wouldn't change it for the world!"
Hart's Own Words
In an interview with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes, Hart said he has not shied away from discussions about his height as he "isn't afraid to laugh" at himself. "I'm really confident that the laugh that I'm getting, you're not laughing necessarily at me as if I'm a joke — you're laughing at the experience," he said. "I'm giving you an experience through a story that is relatable. And more importantly, I'm saying things that other people just don't have the heart to say."
He previously took part in a Vanity Fair Lie Detector interview, in which he admitted he was 5 feet 2 inches after initially claiming he was 5 feet 4. When asked if he was self conscious about his height, he scoffed before saying "yes", which was the truth.
Career and Family
Hart had his first breakthrough in the TV series 'Undeclared' and built a reputation with his first stand-up album 'I'm a Grown Little Man'. He is married to Eniko Parrish and they have two children. He also has two children with his ex-wife, Torrei Skipper. '72 Hours' is streaming on Netflix.
