Kerry Katona Opens Up on Past Relationships and Health MOT

Kerry Katona has opened up about her past relationships, admitting she has been in 'fight or flight mode all her life'. The former Atomic Kitten star, 45, met her partner Paolo Margaglione, 34, on the E4 show Celebs Go Dating last year and says she finally feels at peace.

Finding Love with Paolo Margaglione

Kerry described her relationship with Paolo as healthy and supportive. 'I truly don’t believe I’ve ever been loved the way Paolo loves me,' she said. 'He’s my biggest cheerleader and it’s such a healthy relationship. At first I didn’t know how to cope with that, I wasn’t used to it.'

Reflecting on Past Marriages

Kerry has been married three times: to Westlife's Brian McFadden, Mark Croft, and the late George Kay. She sees each relationship as a success because of her five children. 'I was a baby when I met Brian… I was 17 when I got into the industry,' she said. 'All three relationships in my eyes were so successful because I got five amazing kids.'

Health Scare and Full Health MOT

In April, Kerry was rushed to hospital after experiencing facial drooping, treated as a possible stroke. Determined to get answers, she underwent a private full health MOT at Pall Mall Medical in Manchester, costing £649, which checks 58 health markers including sugar levels, vitamins, and cancer markers.

'I’ve had so many health issues lately,' she explained. 'I don’t know whether it’s because I’ve been in fight or flight mode all my life, but I’m in such a good place now.' Kerry suffers from severe health anxiety and is nervous about the results: 'I am nervous about it, because you could be the healthiest person in the world, but you just never know.'

Family and Future Plans

Kerry has been candid about suffering two miscarriages last year but is open to having more children with Paolo. 'I’d pop out triplets for Paolo,' she said. 'It’s not like we’re trying, but if it happens, it happens.' She also advises her children to wait until age 25 before considering cosmetic surgery.

Reality TV and New Music

Despite her music career, Kerry has gained fame from reality shows like I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and Celebs Go Dating. She recently released a football-themed single, Home Again (World Cup 2026), based on Atomic Kitten's hit Whole Again. 'When I’m on my deathbed, I can’t take any of this materialistic stuff. All I have are my memories,' she said.
