Showbiz star Kerry Katona has set tongues wagging with a playful new career idea, suggesting she and her best friend Katie Price could team up for a hilarious musical duet. The revelation comes hot on the heels of the pair wrapping up a majorly successful joint tour across the UK at the end of 2025.
From Stage Success to Studio Dreams
Despite having a jam-packed schedule for 2026, which includes a tour with Mamma Mia! The Party, the 46-year-old is already brainstorming her next venture. In her latest column for new! magazine, Katona expressed her excitement for the upcoming year but couldn't resist floating the comedy duet concept.
"I am not the kind of person who wants to go in a studio and do an album," she confessed. "But I think it would be hilarious if me and Katie dressed up as our ex-husbands to do a mash-up of Peter Andre’s Mysterious Girl and Westlife’s Flying Without Wings in jest." She even envisioned a potential music video and proposed that any proceeds could be donated to charities supporting people in refuges and victims of domestic violence.
A Friendship Forged in the Spotlight
The proposed collaboration would be a poignant, if humorous, nod to their shared histories. Katona was married to Westlife's Brian McFadden from 2002 to 2006, while Price was wed to Peter Andre between 2005 and 2009. Their 2025 tour, which saw them travel the nation, offered fans a candid look into their lives and careers and featured Kerry performing her hit Whole Again.
Reflecting on the tour's conclusion, Kerry wrote: "Last week, Katie Price and I wrapped up the final date of our tour – thank f**k for that!" She admitted the travel was draining but confirmed the duo are already planning their next tour for the following year, frequently connecting via FaceTime.
What's Next for the Dynamic Duo?
While enjoying a return to school runs and family time with her daughter DJ, Katona is clearly energised by her partnership with Price, 47. "The tour was bigger and better than I could have ever imagined," she gushed. The idea of a musical parody, blending their pasts with their present friendship, showcases their unique ability to connect with audiences through both laughter and shared experience. Whether the duet comes to fruition remains to be seen, but for now, fans have another exciting project to anticipate from the showbiz besties.
