Kendra Wilkinson, the former Playboy model and I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! star, broke down in tears on camera after being sacked from her job as an estate agent.

The 41-year-old American television personality shared her distress on Instagram on Sunday, telling followers she was struggling after a client let her go. “When a client fires you… after all the work you put in. Ya, I’m struggling guys,” she wrote over the clip.

A difficult setback

In the candid video, Wilkinson said: “We’re living in a world of struggle right now. I know that. But it’s just … it’s so hard – it’s so hard to know. I feel like I’m doing everything right in my life. I’m raising my kids and putting them first. I’m doing everything good – I’m a good person. It’s just such a struggle right now.” She added that she would not miss “fighting people that work with me, getting fired [and] people being rude and mean.”

Wilkinson rose to fame in 2004 as one of Hugh Hefner's live-in girlfriends, and later appeared on I'm a Celebrity in 2014 alongside Gemma Collins, Jimmy Bullard, Craig Charles, Vicki Michelle, Carl Fogarty, and Nadia Forde.

From showbiz to 9-5

In November last year, she expressed happiness in her new career after leaving the entertainment industry for a regular job. “I’m so happy I’m evolving into myself and growing who I want to be. Everyday I’m pouring myself into this business,” she shared. “I just opened escrow on a property in Venice beach today and it just keeps growing. I’m so proud of myself.”

Earlier this month, Wilkinson addressed comments about aging, insisting she is “not trying to be sexy” and focusing on changes that suit her and her children. On Instagram Story, she wrote: “I'm OK aging. I'm OK not being young Kendra anymore. I'm not playboy anymore. I am not trying to be sexy. Dating and men aren't on forefront of my mind. Looking exactly how i want and loving myself exactly how i am is where im at. Finding gratitude and peace everyday is my objective.”

She responded to a critic who said time had been harsh on her: “I'm ok with aging 'poorly'. For some reason I'm happier than I've ever been lately even with a little weight gain and wrinkles and I'm not going to tie my happiness again into the negative energy.”

Describing herself as a “balanced, single, positive, fun woman who loves life,” she added: “I hope that i can manage this feeling forever now after working hard to get here to this place. I was verrrry young when i started tv and lived a crazy chaotic 20 years of impressing others but now it's about ME. Giving back to ME. Even with less money and Way less fame.”
