Kelvin Fletcher Fears Regret Over Family Farm Move in Emotional Episode
Kelvin Fletcher Fears Regret Over Family Farm Move

Kelvin Fletcher admitted he feared he had thrown his family in at the deep end during the latest repeat episode of Fletcher's Family Farm. The former Emmerdale actor, who swapped the spotlight for a farm in the Peak District alongside wife Liz and their four children, confessed: "I hope I don't regret throwing my family in at the deep end!" - a sentiment that will resonate with many who have followed the family's journey.

Emotional Royal Cheshire Show

But any regrets quickly melted away at the Royal Cheshire Show, where Marnie stepped into the show ring to handle Sonic, a cow the Fletchers had owned for just four weeks, while Kelvin took charge of Cherry. Watching from the ringside with the couple's son Milo, Liz was soon reaching for the tissues.

"I have literally got tears in my eyes," an emotional Liz told the camera. "It makes me so emotional because there's so much to do, and it's scary. It's nerve-wracking, and to just stand there among all these other people that have been doing it for years - it might even be their first show too. It's just an amazing tradition, and I'm so proud. I'm so proud of Kelvin. I'm so proud of Marnie."

Marnie's Triumph

Kelvin, keeping a watchful eye on his daughter in the ring, was clearly in awe of how she carried herself. "Marnie is doing so well handling Sonic, especially as he seems to be a little bit overwhelmed by the buzz of the crowd," he said. Before the results were revealed, Liz admitted the occasion had already touched her deeply, whatever the outcome. "If we go home with a rosette or not, the fact that we have managed this..." she said, trailing off.

When the results came in, Marnie had not merely competed - she had prevailed, claiming first place and earning herself a rosette in the process. "Oh, I can't explain the emotions I'm feeling. I felt just immense," Kelvin said. "I was really nervous when I first went out. More nervous for Marnie. And Marnie said to me that she was scared, and that broke my heart."

Family Embrace

As the family came together for an emotional embrace, Kelvin tearfully told his daughter just how much her achievement had meant to him. "I was so proud. I was gonna cry," he told her. "What a moment for us." Fletcher's Family Farm is available to watch on ITVX.
