In a heartfelt tribute to their late father, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne was joined by her rarely-seen brother Louis to watch his beloved Aston Villa face Manchester United. The emotional family outing took place at Villa Park in Birmingham on Sunday.
A Proud Moment for the Osbourne Family
The TV personality, 41, beamed with pride as her three-year-old son, Sidney, took to the pitch as a matchday mascot. Kelly dressed in the full Aston Villa kit for the occasion, sharing the milestone moment with her fiancé, Slipknot star Sid Wilson, who showed his support wearing a Villa scarf.
Young Sidney was carried onto the hallowed turf by Aston Villa player John McGinn, before being passed to his mother to watch the Premier League clash from the sidelines. Ahead of the match, Kelly posted a series of selfies on Instagram, writing: "On my way to go watch Baby Sidney be the mascot for @avfcofficial this is such a proud moment for me! #UpTheVilla".
Honouring the Prince of Darkness's Legacy
The day was laden with emotion, coming just months after the death of the Black Sabbath icon. Ozzy Osbourne died of heart failure at his Buckinghamshire home on July 22, aged 76, a mere three weeks after performing a farewell gig in his hometown of Birmingham.
His lifelong connection to Aston Villa was profound. Growing up in Aston, near Villa Park, he maintained a special bond with the club throughout his life. Following his passing, the club released a statement honouring "world-renowned rockstar and Villan, Ozzy Osbourne," sending thoughts to his wife Sharon and family.
This season, the club had already celebrated his fandom, featuring his image in a giant tifo display at the Holte End during a Champions League match against Celtic in January. The tifo depicted Ozzy wearing a Villa shirt, with the club stating he "embodies Villa's Aston origins, bridging the worlds of rock metal and football."
A Rare Sibling Reunion
The match provided a rare public appearance for Kelly alongside her half-brother, Louis Osbourne, 50. Louis, whose mother is Ozzy's first wife Thelma Riley, bears a strong resemblance to his famous sister. Kelly shared snaps of the pair together on Instagram.
Louis, now a DJ, was clearly devastated by his father's passing, changing his Facebook profile picture to an all-black screen in mourning. In the 2011 documentary God Bless Ozzy Osbourne, produced by his half-brother Jack, Louis spoke candidly about their father's struggles, recalling memories of him being drunk but acknowledging he was "a great father" when sober.
Ozzy Osbourne is survived by six children – Jessica, Louis, and Elliot (from his first marriage to Thelma Riley), and Kelly, Jack, and Aimee from his marriage to Sharon Osbourne. The family, primarily based in the US, appeared to cherish their time together in Ozzy's hometown, honouring his memory through the club he loved.
