Kelly Osbourne's emotional Ozzy tribute leaves fans in tears

Kelly Osbourne has shared a heartbreaking tribute to her late father Ozzy Osbourne on the first anniversary of his death, admitting she misses "who I was before my daddy died."

The TV personality poured her heart out in an emotional social media post exactly one year after the Black Sabbath legend passed away aged 76, leaving fans fighting back tears with her raw words about grief.

One year on

Kelly began: "One year ago today, the world changed forever." She said she still feels her dad's presence all around her, writing that she senses him "in the quiet, in the wind, in every song that stops me in my tracks" and even in the smell of his cologne.

But despite those comforting reminders, Kelly admitted the hardest part is knowing she can no longer hug him. "The hardest part isn't that you're gone. The hardest part is that I can't touch you. I can't hold your hand. I can't wrap my arms around you or feel the safety that only you could give me," she wrote.

Living without Ozzy

She went on to describe living without the Prince of Darkness as "the hardest thing I have ever had to endure", calling Ozzy her "everything" as she reflected on the devastating loss.

In another particularly moving passage, Kelly confessed she misses "who I was before my daddy died" and said her heart has become "a home for absence", adding that every treasured memory now feels like "both a blessing and a wound."

Son's resemblance

And she also said she wishes her father could see "the little man" her son Sidney is becoming, adding: "Every single day I catch glimpses of you in him. Your smile. Your spirit. Your mannerisms."

Concluding the tribute, Kelly continued: "You made people believe that life could be better because of the way you lived yours. With honesty, loyalty, courage, humour, and a heart bigger than anyone realised. There will never be another you. You carried something extraordinary inside you, a kind of magic that felt heaven-sent, and I will spend the rest of my life feeling grateful that I got to call you my daddy. This past year has broken me in ways I never knew were possible."

Fans react

Fans flooded the comments with messages of support, saying the heartfelt tribute had left them in tears as they remembered the rock icon alongside his daughter.

One follower commented: "Tears just dropping off my face because kells always loved her daddy so much. I know this hurts and your words are so powerful. Sending love to you all." Another wrote: "The letter floored me. We love you Kelly. We love your Dad. We love your family. God bless you all forever."

Ozzy died on July 22, 2025, aged 76 after years of health struggles, including Parkinson's disease. One year on, tributes are being held around the world to celebrate the heavy metal pioneer's extraordinary legacy, while his family continue to honour the man they knew simply as "Dad."
