Kelly Osbourne has issued a statement condemning the 'cruel' backlash she received following her appearance at the Brit Awards 2026. The 41-year-old TV personality attended the ceremony at Manchester's Co-op Live alongside her mother Sharon, where her late father Ozzy Osbourne was honoured with a posthumous lifetime achievement award.
Ozzy, the Black Sabbath frontman, died in July last year aged 76. During the awards, Sharon gave a speech accepting the honour, and a tribute performance of the band's song 'No More Tears' was performed by family friend Robbie Williams and former members of Ozzy's band.
After the event, Kelly faced trolling on social media over her appearance. On Sunday, March 1, she shared a statement on her Instagram story addressing the abuse. The post read: 'There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something... I'm currently going through the hardest time in my life.'
Earlier in the week, Kelly had also responded to a troll who likened her look to 'a dead body', calling the comments 'disgusting' and 'abuse'. She shared a quote saying 'This too shall pass, but like, holy f***.'
The Osbournes have been mourning the loss of Ozzy, with Sharon referencing his Brummie roots in her heartfelt speech. Kelly's statement emphasised the lack of compassion shown by those targeting her during a difficult period.
