Kelly Osbourne has spoken out about grieving her late father, Ozzy Osbourne, who was memorialised with a tribute at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. Ozzy, who died from a heart attack in July at age 76, was honoured with a special performance by Post Malone, Andrew Watt, Chad Smith, Duff McKagan and Guns N’ Roses’ Slash at Sunday’s ceremony in Los Angeles.
Kelly, her mother Sharon Osbourne and brother Jack Osbourne were visibly emotional during the performance of the Black Sabbath song 'War Pigs.' Ahead of the tribute, Kelly said on the red carpet that it 'means more than I can express into words,' adding, 'It’ll be very emotional. I’m here to support my mum.'
When asked how she’s faring emotionally following Ozzy’s death, Kelly admitted: 'I’m not doing so great.' She described her father’s death as 'the hardest thing I’ve ever been through in my life,' and said, 'We’re doing everything we can to live in his legacy and be happy.'
The TV personality previously spoke about her grief in response to criticism of her weight loss, stating, 'My dad just died, and I’m doing the best that I can, and the only thing I have to live for right now is my family.' Kelly, Sharon and Jack attended Clive Davis’s pre-Grammy party together on Saturday, wearing all black.
Sharon walked the red carpet with Yungblud, the English singer who had a years-long friendship with Ozzy. Yungblud, who won a Grammy for Best Rock Performance for his live cover of 'Changes' at Ozzy’s last show, said, 'I think [the tribute] is in great hands... I think they're gonna murder it, I can't wait.' He described winning the award as 'bittersweet' and praised Ozzy’s 'biggest heart.'
