Kelly Osbourne has said she 'aches every single day' and misses her father Ozzy Osbourne 'with every part of my soul' on the first anniversary of his death. The Black Sabbath frontman died aged 76 in July last year, just over two weeks after his farewell concert.
Emotional tribute
In a lengthy Instagram post, the 41-year-old wrote: 'One year ago today, the world changed forever.' She added: 'I know you are still with me. I feel you in the quiet, in the wind, in every song that stops me in my tracks.'
Kelly described living without her father as 'the hardest thing I have ever had to endure' and said: 'It aches every single day, but it is also the greatest privilege of my life.' She also shared that she sees glimpses of Ozzy in her son Sidney.
Family memories
The former Fashion Police star hailed her father's impact, saying he 'changed lives simply by being yourself'. She praised his working-class background in Birmingham and said he 'never forgot what he came from'.
Ozzy's widow Sharon also remembered him, telling BBC Radio West Midlands: 'He was authentic. He never tried to be anything other than what he was.' She added: 'I can't forget what Birmingham did for Ozzy.'
Ozzy Day celebration
The city of Birmingham is holding its first Ozzy Day, a free celebration with live music and public art. Last year, his funeral procession went through the city centre, with thousands of fans lining the streets.
Son Jack, 40, also posted ahead of the anniversary, asking followers to 'share a story about my dad'. He and wife Aree named their youngest daughter, born in March, Ozzy in honour of the late star.
