Kelly Clarkson has returned to her daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, a month after the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. The 43-year-old singer and presenter took time off following the news that Blackstock, 48, died from melanoma on 7 August.
In her first episode back, Clarkson displayed her characteristic blend of humour and emotion, though she did not directly address Blackstock's death. The show featured guests Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell, who were promoting their film A Big Bold Beautiful Journey. The trio discussed the highs and lows of parenthood.
Country star Reba McEntire, the grandmother of Clarkson and Blackstock's two children, recently spoke about their wellbeing. She told reporters at the Emmys: "The kids are doing well, they're all bonding together and hanging out with each other, and taking it one day at a time. We know God's got this."
Blackstock's daughter Savannah, 23, who is expecting her third child, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram. She wrote: "So far, 2025 has been a year full of 'Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding.' Seeing my dad sick and losing him was something I never imagined or could have possibly prepared myself for, let alone young and pregnant."
