Kelly Clarkson has announced that singer P!nk will step in as guest host of The Kelly Clarkson Show for a week in March, ahead of the programme's scheduled end this autumn. The news comes after Clarkson revealed she would be leaving the daytime talk show after seven seasons to focus on her children.
The 'Breakaway' singer confirmed the guest-hosting stint on the show's social media on Monday, stating that P!nk would take over for a special week of episodes starting 2 March, coinciding with Women's History Month. A photograph of the two singers during Clarkson's 'Songs & Stories' special accompanied the announcement.
Fans reacted enthusiastically, with one commenting: 'Can't wait to see these two strong women together on Kelly's show', while another wrote: 'This just made my day'. P!nk expressed her excitement, saying: 'I've played stadiums and danced on the side of buildings, but stepping in to guest host for my girl Kelly Clarkson is a brand new feat!'
Clarkson, 43, shared earlier that this season would be her last hosting the show, explaining that stepping away from the daily schedule would allow her to prioritise her children, River (11) and Remy (9). She thanked the show's crew, guests and NBC for their support, adding: 'You never know where I might show up next'.
P!nk previously appeared on Clarkson's 'Songs & Stories' special in 2023, where the duo performed duets of her tracks 'Who Knew' and 'What About Us', earning praise from viewers.
