Kelly Brook Opens Up About Heartbreak of Losing Friends Over Child-Free Choice

Kelly Brook has spoken candidly about the emotional toll of her decision not to have children, revealing that she has lost friends as a result. The 45-year-old model and presenter, who married Jeremy Parisi in 2022, said some of her most painful breakups have been with female friends after they became mothers.

In an interview, Brook admitted: 'The most difficult thing for me not having children over the last 20 years has been losing friends because your lives are so different. It's sad in a way. I miss a lot of my old friends who have kids.' She added that she sometimes feels left out when friends focus on their children during social gatherings.

Brook, who suffered a miscarriage in 2011 with ex-fiancé Thom Evans, said her past experiences influenced her choice to remain childless. 'In my 20s and 30s, I had miscarriages and past relationships that took their toll on me, physically and emotionally,' she said. 'I never had a really positive experience with pregnancies and trying for children.'

The former glamour model, who now hosts a drivetime show on Heart FM, said she and her husband are blunt about their decision: 'We're not having children kind of closes off this conversation. I think people are shocked you can be that blunt about it, but that's where we're at.' She noted that many women have reached out to thank her for her honesty.

Brook also reflected on her participation in the BBC series Race Across the World with her husband, saying it allowed her to show her true self beyond her public persona. 'Kelly Brook was an alter ego, this public persona of a glamour model and actress,' she explained. 'I wanted to reintroduce myself as someone who actually has interests outside of entertainment.'
