Kelly Brook has revealed she was offered weight loss medication before entering the I'm A Celebrity jungle, but firmly declined. The former glamour model, 46, said a doctor suggested she try Mounjaro, a diabetes drug used for weight loss, but she refused, questioning the need for it.
Speaking on the How to Fail podcast, Brook recalled: 'I was offered Mounjaro literally last week by a doctor. Isn't that insane?' When asked how she responded, she said: 'I said, "What do I need that for?" The doctor said, "Everyone's on it." And I said, "Well I'm not on it!"' She added that she questioned the side effects and ultimately rejected the offer.
Brook, who was the first contestant to use the jungle shower this series, has spoken candidly about body image. She told the Mirror: 'Obviously, I am not a 20-year-old bikini model anymore. Life changes and your body changes. I just hope people are accepting of me and how I look now.'
The TV and radio host, who celebrated her 46th birthday in camp, said she loves her curves and her husband Jeremy Parisi does too. She acknowledged using some cosmetic treatments like Botox but said she is 'really precious' about her body.
Jeremy praised Kelly as a 'positive role model', noting how hard it is for women in the public eye to face scrutiny. Brook also revealed she prepared for the jungle by cutting out caffeine, wine and sugar, and undergoing body laser hair removal.
