Katy Perry brought her Out of Office tour to Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, delivering a headline set that blended California vibes with sharp jabs at her former flames. The 41-year-old pop superstar performed a string of hits including California Gurls, Wide Awake, and Dark Horse, but it was her exes who bore the brunt of the night's humor.
Phone Rejections and Interactive Games
During Never Really Over, Perry stood before a giant phone screen, repeatedly declining fake calls from "JM" (John Mayer, whom she dated on and off from 2012 to 2015) and "DJ Diplo" (with whom she had a brief fling in 2014). The audience roared as she mimed hanging up on each call.
Later, Perry engaged the crowd with an interactive game where fans on a giant laptop screen were asked to strike poses. When one fan was told to "pose like you've just seen your ex," Perry quipped, "I hope my ex isn't here," sparking laughter. It remains unclear which ex she referenced, but the moment electrified the packed venue.
Dedication to Justin Trudeau
Perry, who was married to Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012, is now in a relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, first linked in summer 2025 and publicly confirmed in October. She dedicated the song I'M HIS, HE'S MINE to Trudeau, shouting "Happy Canada Day" to the audience. Fans sported bright wigs and one even dressed as a strawberry.
Spectacle and Sentiment
The show featured muscle-suited dancers, astronaut costumes for a space segment, and an inflatable water bottle that Perry used to crowd-surf. She performed Hot N Cold, Last Friday Night, and a stripped-back Roar. Joking about performing in "Winston Churchill's backyard," Perry also offered heartfelt advice: "I know your parents say there'll be someone else, but trust me, it gets better." She reflected on her own struggles: "Sometimes my roar was not loud... life is truly beautiful the longer you decide to live it."
The finale featured a cannon shaped like a sun cream bottle that covered the crowd in foam during Firework. Perry's daughter Daisy, five, whom she shares with ex Orlando Bloom, watched from the side. Perry said, "I love you Daisy, I'm glad you're staying up late with me."
Celebrities including Princess Beatrice, Stella McCartney, and Blur's Alex James attended. Perry joked about politics, the heatwave, and her 10-minute Blue Origin space trip last year.
