Katie Price's Sky Doc Bombshells: Footballer Fling to Attack

Katie Price has opened up about her life in the new Sky documentary Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, revealing bombshell claims including a fling with an England footballer and a terrifying attack. The 48-year-old celebrity, currently married to Lee Andrews, explores her chaotic career and private life in the four-part series.

Childhood Trauma and Sexual Abuse

The documentary examines how Price's upbringing was scarred by sexual abuse and her parents' divorce. She describes being assaulted by a paedophile at age seven in a park, with other children coming to her rescue. 'This boy and this girl walked past and they must have called the police,' she says. 'The police were talking – I don't know what they asked – but I remember they took my knickers. Through the years, there's a picture of abuse by men against me, taking advantage of me from a young age.'

Price reflects on how the trauma affected her: 'Each time a trauma happened, I think it affected me. I used to like dressing up and being looked at but not being touched. I was the one in control.' She has undergone therapy to address these issues, but recognises that the abuse fundamentally altered her.

Early Relationships and Footballer Fling

Price's early relationship with semi-professional footballer Gary Bolingbroke ended when she began seeing England footballer Teddy Sheringham in 1996. 'I'd always fancied Teddy Sheringham so I thought f*** it,' she recalls. 'I met Teddy at a hotel.' The next day, the affair made front-page headlines, leading to a confrontation with Gary at her mother's house.

Her romance with Sheringham was brief, followed by a relationship with pop star Dane Bowers of Another Level. 'He might have been the tubby one, but looks aren't everything,' says Price. 'He was quite arrogant but very attentive to me and when we kissed, it was amazing. I loved Dane. I did.' Bowers agrees: 'We were in love, 100%.'

Revenge and Heartbreak

Bowers disliked Price's modelling career, leading her to temporarily stop topless photoshoots. However, after Bowers excluded her from the publicity campaign for his hit 'Out Of Your Mind' with Victoria Beckham, a jealous Price posed for a topless calendar. An enraged Bowers ended the relationship, and Price attempted suicide. 'He was done with me,' she says. 'I cried so much and then he left the flat and I remember being on my own, devastated. Did I want to kill myself? No, but I thought by doing that he'd know how much I love him and I'd get him back. No, he still didn't want to know.'

She then began seeing Manchester United footballer Dwight Yorke, admitting it was 'massive revenge' on Bowers. 'It wasn't love at all,' she says. When she became pregnant with her eldest child Harvey, Yorke left her.

Relationship with Gareth Gates

Price's next romance was with Gareth Gates in 2002, when he was 17 and fresh from Pop Idol. Despite years of denial, Gates now admits the relationship was serious. 'I certainly did love her,' he says. 'To be in love... I think I was too young. It was very quick, literally weeks, and she'd mentioned marriage and spending the rest of her life with me.' When the press exposed their romance, a terrified Gates denied everything, leaving Price devastated. She later gave an interview claiming their intimate life cured his stammer, a revelation she now regrets. 'That was a moment I wish I never did,' she admits. 'I shouldn't have gone into detail about it, but I did.'

Marriage to Peter Andre and Recent Life

Price met Peter Andre on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004. 'Meeting Pete and being with Pete were the best times of my life without a doubt,' she says. They married in 2005 and had two children, Junior and Princess, but divorced in September 2009. Price has since undergone therapy and received an ADHD diagnosis, learning to manage her impulsive behaviour. 'I've learned to control those impulsive tendencies to a degree, but you can't change who I am,' she says. 'I'm one of a kind.'

The documentary also covers her current marriage to Lee Andrews and her dramatic weight loss, with Price admitting she resembles a 'stick insect' and has never appreciated her looks despite numerous cosmetic procedures.
