Katie Price has never shied away from discussing the challenges of raising her eldest son Harvey, who lives with Septo-optic Dysplasia, autism, Prader-Willi syndrome, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, and blindness. The 23-year-old requires round-the-clock care, and his mother has campaigned for greater awareness of his complex conditions.
However, little is said about Harvey's biological father, former Manchester United and Trinidad and Tobago striker Dwight Yorke, 54. Price has admitted that Yorke does not maintain contact with their son. The pair had a brief romance in 2001, which ended when Price allegedly discovered Yorke had cheated on her during a lingerie photoshoot.
Yorke initially denied paternity until a DNA test proved otherwise. He visited Harvey in hospital and put his name on the birth certificate, but visits became sporadic. In his 2009 autobiography 'Born To Score', Yorke wrote that he loved Harvey 'like I could never ever have imagined possible' and criticised Price for making it difficult for him to be involved.
Price has claimed that the last time Yorke saw Harvey, around 2014, he questioned why Harvey was so big and accused her of overfeeding him, despite her explaining Harvey's medical conditions. She has made multiple attempts to reach out to Yorke, stating it is 'never too late' for him to be in their son's life.
In December 2019, Price shared a heartbreaking video of Harvey asking for his dad, saying 'I love you Daddy Dwight'. She pleaded with Yorke, saying Harvey 'didn't deserve it' and that the 'door is always open'.
