Katie Price's Children Stunned by WhatsApp Engagement Announcement

In a revelation that has captivated fans, Katie Price's eldest children, Princess and Junior, have disclosed the shocking manner in which they learned of their mother's whirlwind engagement and subsequent secret marriage. The former glamour model, 47, caused a media frenzy last month by announcing her engagement to self-proclaimed businessman Lee Andrews, whom she met on Instagram just days prior, and then revealing they had married in Dubai less than 48 hours later.

Family Left Dumbfounded by Sudden News

The news left Price's family back in the UK completely astonished, as they had no prior indication of her plans. Speaking on Princess's reality show, The Princess Diaries, as reported by The Sun, the siblings shared their candid reactions to the unexpected announcement via a family WhatsApp group chat.

Princess, 18, recounted: "The message Mum sent on the group chat about being engaged… I literally responded 'OMG'. Mum's very impulsive, but that is impulse on a whole other level. I don't know anything about him [Lee] and all I know is he proposed to my mum after knowing her a week."

Junior's Confusion and Concern

Junior, 20, added: "I put, 'I'm so confused. What a bombshell.' At this point, I don't know what to think, she's flipping married him. I don't know the guy, so it's shocking, of course it is, it is weird. If anyone's mum got engaged to someone that you don't know, you're going to be like 'What the hell?'"

He expressed a desire for more context, stating, "I would have liked to know what's been going on, what's it leading up to, but everyone lives their lives and has their own thing." However, Junior emphasized that Price remains a "great mum" and his primary concern is whether Lee treats her properly, adding that if his mother is happy, he is happy.

Background of Turbulent Relationships

Princess further explained that while Katie's rapid relationship is "crazy," it does not surprise her. She noted that as she and her brother have grown older, they have "trauma bonded" from witnessing the turbulent relationship between Price and their father, Peter Andre, during their upbringing.

Travel Complications Amid Regional Tensions

Currently, Katie Price is in the UK, while her husband Lee resides in Dubai. Despite ongoing military conflicts in the Middle East between Iran and the United States, Lee has indicated on social media that Katie will return to Dubai soon. He stated, "The flights have started to open. The flights are a bit backed up, but if not, you can always go through Oman, it is next door and one of the neighbouring countries. I'm not going to tell you all my plans, but Katie would fly there, and I would go to Oman and pick her up and bring her home because that's what you do when you are married and in love, you try everything right?"

This plan comes amid serious travel advisories. The United Arab Emirates government warns of a volatile security situation due to military strikes, advising against travel and noting that UAE airspace may open or close at short notice, impacting flights at Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports. Similarly, the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office advises against all but essential travel to the UAE, cautioning that travel insurance could be invalidated if this advice is ignored.

The children's revelations highlight the personal impact of Price's impulsive decisions, blending family dynamics with the complexities of international travel during geopolitical unrest.
