Katie Price's children, Junior and Princess Andre, are reportedly unable to discuss their mother's recent marriage to Lee Andrews, according to her ex-husband Alex Reid. The former glamour model tied the knot with Dubai-based businessman Lee in January, just weeks after confirming her split from JJ Slater.
Speaking to the Mirror, Alex Reid claimed that the whirlwind romance had taken the children by surprise. 'Katie likes new and flashy. And it's also another headline,' he said. 'This is the sadness. The expanse of the people around her. Her family. Her loved ones. Her children.'
Reid's manager, Lee Stafford, added that he had spoken to Peter Andre, Katie's first husband, who said the children do not talk about the marriage. 'What do you say to your kids when it's someone that nobody knows?' Stafford said.
Alex Reid, who was married to Katie for 11 months between 2010 and 2011, described his own experience as being 'intoxicated with the celebrity and the whole situation', and suggested that Lee Andrews might feel similarly. He also expressed concern that the marriage could be a 'business transaction' rather than a genuine relationship.
Katie has defended her new husband on social media, calling claims against him 'absolute BS by bitter people and snakes in all areas'. The Mirror has contacted representatives for Peter Andre, Junior and Princess for comment.
