Lee Andrews, the husband of Katie Price, has announced that he has adopted all of her five children and that the couple are trying for a baby of their own. The claim comes despite reports that he has not met all of the children face-to-face.
Adoption Claims and Baby Plans
In a Father's Day video message for a fan, Andrews stated: "I haven't got children, but we're trying. I've adopted five of them. I love my wife and I love her children." The Sun reported on the video. However, according to children's charity Barnardo's, the adoption assessment process typically takes up to six months for both Stage 1 and Stage 2.
Andrews married Price in a quick ceremony in January. He has met Harvey, Princess, and Junior Andre, but a representative for Price denied in April that he had met them in person; it has since emerged that he has only spoken to them via FaceTime.
Legal and Financial Troubles
Andrews faces legal issues, including debts of £54,000 for a rental car and £15,000 to a UAE legal firm, which led to an arrest warrant. A representative for Andrews told The Sun: "The judgement debtor appeared before the court... He stated his wife is currently outside the country and that he has been unable to access his bank account required to make payment. He requested a period of 14 days in order to settle the outstanding amount."
Warding Off Rivals
Price has publicly warned women to stay away from her husband after one woman sent him a message saying, "Just forget Katie and let me come look after you x." Price shared the exchange on Instagram, saying: "Why are some girls so beggy messaging my husband? Have some decorum, says a lot about @***.*****, I'm embarrased for you."
Monetizing Fame
Despite claims of being a wealthy businessman, Andrews has joined the celebrity messaging platform Cameo, charging £16.63 per personalized video. This comes after Price previously accused her exes of "trying to be famous, ending up getting Instagram posts off the back of me, getting jobs and being able to earn money from stories."
