Katie Price has reportedly realised her marriage to Lee Andrews is over, just months after their whirlwind wedding. The 48-year-old former glamour model shocked friends and family in January when she became engaged to Lee, who was in prison at the time, having met him in person only hours earlier. They tied the knot in a shotgun wedding soon after.
Now, sources claim the honeymoon phase is well and truly over. Lee was due to appear in the UK last month but failed to arrive, and it was later confirmed he was being held in Dubai's Al Awir prison over a 'private civil matter'. Katie initially denied he was detained, but later confirmed he was behind bars.
A source told the Daily Mail that Katie is 'in pieces' and embarrassed by Lee's actions. 'To the outside world, she wants to keep up the bravado. But inside she can't believe how Lee has made her look,' the source said. 'Katie is so confused, but ultimately it looks like she will be heading to the divorce court once again.'
The source added that Katie has fallen out with her family, who warned her not to fly to Dubai. 'The advice landed on deaf ears,' the source claimed. 'This week, Katie accused them of meddling in her relationship, and they had another big bust-up. They have never been introduced or spoken to him and have told Katie they never want to.'
Katie is currently in Dubai, where she has been unable to visit her husband. In a video shared on Facebook, she said: 'Time is running out.' She also addressed her dramatic weight loss, saying: 'I'm so stressed at the minute. Look, I'm just losing weight. I actually look like a skeletal, look at that thigh.' She attributed the weight loss to stress and adrenaline.
