Katie Price's husband Lee Andrews 'on lookout for younger model' after jail release
Katie Price's husband Lee Andrews 'on lookout for younger model'

Lee Andrews, Katie Price's husband, has said he is "on the lookout for a much younger model" after the couple split while he was imprisoned in Dubai. The 43-year-old, who has been released from Al Awir prison, told the Mail he had fresh relationship "prospects" but ruled out getting engaged to anyone else while he and Katie remain married, saying he "wouldn't embarrass us this way".

Release from Al Awir prison

Lee, who has removed Katie from his Instagram bio and now describes himself as "Britain's bad boy", confirmed he had been freed from the prison. He added: "And as far as relationships go, I'm on the lookout for a much younger model. As I feel I'd be more appreciated with a partner late 20s early 30s with prospects already on the horizon."

He revealed his release yesterday when he posted a picture with his dad in a sauna on Instagram, where he has unfollowed Katie. He also appeared to reference the end of his relationship by sharing a clip of Without Me by Halsey, which includes the lyrics: "Does it ever get lonely? Thinking you could live without me."

Public appearance and warning

In a video posted today, Lee revealed he had had his head shaved. He said: "Right, I haven't made a public appearance yet so here we are" and, referring to his hair, added: "They got me. They got me good. I had to shave it."

Lee added: "I'm freshly out of jail, aka the most notorious prison in Dubai, Al Awir. God, don't go against the system, guys, because they will bury you. I'm out of jail now, just need to get out of the country. I can't whistle-blow from here, but I will be doing eventually. At least say something about the terrible ordeal that I was in."

Marriage and separation

In a voice message sent to Good Morning Britain earlier this year, Lee said he was in a "civil jail" and had not "been convicted of any crimes, nor am I a criminal". Katie announced she had married Lee in a tiny ceremony in Dubai in January, calling them the "happiest Mr & Mrs". She later returned to the UK without him.

Lee said at the time: "I'm going be meeting Katie tomorrow in the UK. I just need to wrap up a few things here. She had to get back for her children because she's a good mother and she's lovely like that." However, he never travelled to the UK, and the pair had their honeymoon in the UAE.

Responding to widespread surprise about the marriage, Katie said: "I'm fully aware like everyone else, I see stuff, I get sent stuff. What I want everyone to know is, I'm a grown a*** woman. I'm 48 this year, I'm not a young kid. I've learned a lot in the past few years, through therapy and learning to love myself. So I'm not stupid, I know what I'm doing."
