Katie Price Unapologetic After Late Arrival Left Peter Andre Mortified

BBC Radio 2 host Jo Whiley has revealed a striking contrast in the reactions of Katie Price and Peter Andre after they arrived extremely late for a live radio interview. Whiley, who was hosting on BBC Radio 1 at the time, said the couple turned up just five minutes before her show was about to end, leaving no time for the scheduled chat.

Awkward Arrival on Live Radio

Recalling the incident on her podcast with Zoe Ball, Dig It, Whiley explained that she had repeatedly advertised the upcoming interview with the former couple. However, they failed to appear until the very end of the show. "It was supposed to be her and Peter coming on the show and I kept advertising it, I was like, 'Katie Price and Peter Andre, they're going to be here soon'. And in the end, we just ran out of show, like they didn't turn up," she shared.

When the pair finally arrived, their attitudes could not have been more different. "Peter was absolutely mortified, he couldn't have been more apologetic. He was like, 'I am so sorry, things happened, we should've been here'," Whiley said. In contrast, she described Katie Price as indifferent. "She didn't give a flying monkeys, she didn't care, she was like yeah whatever. And she was there but too late for the show, but it was a real contrast between the two of them, she was absolutely unapologetic," Whiley added.

Background of the Couple

At the time of the interview, Katie Price and Peter Andre were starring in their reality show Katie and Peter. They had met on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004 and married two years later. They share two children, Junior, now 21, and Princess, now 19. The couple split in 2009 after four years of marriage.

Since then, Price has married three more times: to Alex Reid, Kieran Hayler, and most recently to Lee. Peter Andre married Emily MacDonagh in 2015, and they have three children together.

Katie's New Documentary

Whiley discussed the awkward moment in the context of Katie Price's new documentary, Nothing To Hide, which aired on Sky. The four-part series features unseen footage and candid interviews with those close to her, including former partners Alex Reid, Dane Bowers, and Gareth Gates. However, Peter Andre declined to participate, issuing a statement displayed at the end of the third episode: "I have chosen not to speak publicly about these matters out of love and respect for Junior and Princess. Today Katie and I maintain an amicable relationship in the interests of our children. I sincerely wish her happiness and peace for the future."

Sky described the documentary as providing "a documentary lens to Katie's story, combining extraordinary unseen footage with first-time, candid testimony from those closest to Katie – family, friends, professional and personal relationships, and those who have entered her orbit over the past three decades."
