Katie Price has opened up about her son Harvey and the damage he caused when he visited her home, admitting she is worried about his future as she awaits news on his move to Littlehampton.
Katie Price Expresses Concern for Harvey
Glamour model Katie Price has voiced her worries about her son Harvey's behaviour, describing how the situation at home is worsening. Speaking on a podcast she co-hosts with her sister Sophie Price, Katie, 47, recounted an incident involving her eldest son, 24, at her property.
Discussing Harvey, who suffers from several conditions including autism and Prader-Willi Syndrome, Katie revealed damage had been inflicted on the kitchen and she was growing increasingly anxious about his future, reports the Express.
Prader-Willi Syndrome is a rare disorder that can cause feeding difficulties in infancy and potentially lead to problems such as obesity later in life.
On the podcast, Katie shared: "Harvey went back. Bye kitchen door and then he threw the bench at the door. Then he threw a pint glass at the window that shattered everywhere."
In response, Sophie asked: "When's he back with you?"
To this Katie replied: "Well this is the thing. I was going to get him back Friday, but the trouble is, now when I get him back he's getting worse to take back... Normally I'd have him back for three days, four days or two weeks. And I'm like even if I have him back for four days. And I have asked now that while we're waiting for his place in Littlehampton, I'm waiting for the response, is it worth him staying at mine? Would they get a carer for him to be at mine because then he's happy because it's so distressing when he has to go back and it's not nice. I've got to do something."
Katie's Ongoing Struggles
This marks another occasion where Katie has discussed her cherished son, who resides in supported accommodation, publicly.
Speaking on the Katie Price Show podcast, she revealed what Harvey had been like during her time with him in Dubai. Throughout the podcast, recorded shortly after he had departed to return home, Katie again offered a glimpse into what existence had been like living alongside her son.
She said: "I got Harvey the day I landed and had him for two weeks. He went back today with a big struggle because he didn't want to go back. I've got three wet mattresses, a smashed window glass because Ben took him out and Harv didn't want to get out of the car. [He] found one of my perfume bottles in the car and decided to smash the windowscreen with it.
"I'm missing him tonight, but I'm not because I'm having a nice bath after this. It's an absolute joke, he hates where he is, he wants to be in Littlehampton. The guy's on holiday, when he gets back he's giving me an update. Harvey is so frustrated, he just wants to be here."
