Katie Price has expressed shock that Gareth Gates is set to speak out about their brief relationship in her upcoming documentary. The revelation comes as she continues to navigate the aftermath of her latest husband Lee Andrews's release from prison.
Gareth Gates to Open Up About 2002 Fling
Price, 48, known for a series of high-profile relationships and marriages, was linked to Pop Idol runner-up Gareth Gates in 2002. During their short-lived fling, it was later revealed that Price, then pregnant with her first child Harvey, helped Gates lose his virginity. For years, Gates remained silent on the matter, but he is now set to share his side of the story.
Gates will appear in Price's new Sky documentary series, Nothing To Hide, where he will discuss what he believed happened between them. At the documentary's launch, Price admitted she was stunned when she learned Gates agreed to participate.
Price: 'The Shock on His Face and the Shock on Mine'
Speaking at the event, Price said: "Imagine meeting someone 25 years ago and then they sort of ghost you. You don’t know why and then you go forward 25 years and then you get the answers. Because he had thought I’d done something which I didn’t do and now, he finds out, it really wasn’t me." She added: "The shock on his face and the shock on mine. Everyone was like, ‘you and Gareth, that was the one that got away!’"
Documentary Promises Unfiltered Look at Price's Life
Nothing To Hide is described as offering the most honest look at Price's life, including her toughest battles. The series, filmed before her marriage to Lee Andrews earlier this year, will also feature other former partners, giving them a chance to share their perspectives. It remains unclear whether Price will discuss her marriage to Andrews in the series, but she is expected to delve into her three previous marriages and other romances.
