Peter Andre has broken his 16-year silence over co-parenting his children with Katie Price, with an insider claiming his recent statement is merely 'the tip of the iceberg'. The singer, 52, issued a forceful social media post last week refuting what he called 'repeated lies' from his ex-wife and her family.
In his statement, Andre revealed that Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, came into his care in 2018 'for their safety', and that a family court order in 2019 enforced this arrangement. He also claimed the courts found Price had made false claims in 2011 and 2015, ordering her to pay damages and costs.
An insider told the Mirror that Andre was 'broken and pushed to the brink' by Price's recent comments on her podcast about the children's living arrangements. 'He's had enough of Katie's lies, and has kept a dignified silence for 16 years as he didn't want anything to upset Princess and Junior,' the source said. 'But she has left him no other choice.'
Price's representatives responded by saying she was 'at peace with the situation' and would not engage in 'tit for tat comments', adding that the matter was now in her lawyers' hands. However, the insider claimed Price had been discussing Andre for weeks before his statement.
The row erupted after Princess secured her own ITV2 reality show, The Princess Diaries. Price alleged Andre's management company had shut her out of the programme and banned her from attending public appearances with her daughter. The management firm, The CAN Group, denied this, stating they 'would never stop any of our clients seeing their family'.
