Katie Price's Pets: Tragic Deaths and Controversies

Katie Price, the former glamour model, has faced criticism over the deaths of several of her pets, with eight animals dying in recent years. A petition calling for her to be banned from keeping pets has garnered 37,000 signatures. Animal charity PETA offered her £5,000 to sign a contract not to own another pet, citing concerns over her care.

Many of Price's pets have died in road accidents near her home in East Sussex. In June last year, her German Shepherd Blade was struck on the A24. In 2020, Alsatian Sparkle was killed on the same road, and in 2018, Alsatian Queenie was allegedly hit by a delivery driver who drove off. A horse also died on the A24 in 2017 after escaping a field.

In July 2020, French bulldog Rolo, a gift for her daughter Princess's birthday, died after getting stuck under an electric armchair. Price said it was a 'freak accident' and that she administered CPR but it was too late. In her memoir, she suggested Princess may have given the dog too much CBD oil, leading to it sleeping under the chair.

Price has also rehomed several pets. In September 2021, she gave away her French Bulldog Precious, a gift from ex-fiancé Carl Woods, to a crew member. In January, she reportedly gave away her puppy Tank, replacing it with a Sphynx kitten. In 2019, she rehomed Alsatian puppy Bear after it repeatedly escaped near the A24.

Despite the controversies, Price currently owns four Chihuahuas: Captain, Buddy, Colin, and Batman. She remains undeterred by the criticism and continues to express her love for animals.
