Katie Price has shared a clip of herself reuniting with a club bouncer she kissed on a night out many years ago, after ditching the wedding ring given to her by husband Lee Andrews.
The 48-year-old former glamour model was last week said to have confronted her controversial Dubai-based husband over text messages he exchanged with a younger man since they wed. Price has now shared a clip reminiscing about a night out at London’s now-closed Chinawhite club, where she kissed the doorman.
Reunion with Chinawhite bouncer
Speaking with the hosts of The Rated Show in a teaser for an upcoming appearance on the comedy podcast, the mother-of-five said of the members-only club: ‘Every Wednesday I was there, without fail. I loved it there.’ The person holding the camera replied: ‘Ask her how and why the day she came down is so memorable.’ ‘What did I f***ing do now? What didn’t I do?’ laughed Price in the clip posted to Instagram, which she shared on her Story.
‘I’m the doorman that you kissed at Chinawhite’s,’ said the off-screen man, as the other guests on the show joked it was a kiss on the cheek. A friend added: ‘He’s been living off that for 30 years. You know he hasn’t washed his face for 30 years,’ to which Price joked: ‘That shows how old I am.’
Ongoing Lee Andrews saga
The reunion comes after Price shared a snap to promote her latest podcast episode, in which her wedding ring was notably absent. Price and Andrews’ whirlwind romance has turned into a saga of twists and turns over the summer, as it emerged that the businessman has been imprisoned twice in Dubai, amid accusations he is a conman. In the last few days, Price’s sister Sophie shared her disgust at Andrews amid claims he allegedly tried to sell a sex tape of the former glamour model.
Andrews has faced multiple accusations: misleading claims of being a multi-millionaire business owner, being banned from leaving Dubai due to suspected fraud, being jailed – and reportedly arrested again – in Dubai, teasing a fake pregnancy with Price, scamming a string of women, and faking a kidnapping. Price and her representatives have denied the existence of the sex tape.
During an episode of her podcast, Price said she will not be commenting on Andrews anymore: ‘I commented when he went missing but he’s in prison and I will be questioning him about a lot of things when he’s out. I’m just getting on doing what I’m doing. There is so much, there is no smoke without fire.’
Family distances itself
Last week also saw members of Andrews’ own family publicly distance themselves from him in a fresh statement. His sister Kelly Andrews and one of his former school friends admitted they have been left stunned by recent developments. ‘Kelly Andrews and I just want to take a moment to speak the truth,’ the statement began. ‘Recent information shared has brought forward evidence that has left us both shocked. We are the first to admit when we’re wrong, and now that there is proof, we feel it’s important to acknowledge that. We also want people to understand that this involves Kelly’s brother, which makes this incredibly painful for their family. The Lee we knew was never like this, which makes it even harder for us, as his sister and as a friend, to get our heads around everything that’s come to light.’
