Katie Price has reignited her feud with Victoria Beckham, claiming she was banned from visiting her then-boyfriend Dane Bowers while he promoted a single with Victoria. In her new documentary, Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, the 48-year-old former glamour model details the breakdown of her two-year relationship with Dane, which ended in 2000.
Price says that when Dane began promoting the single "Out of Your Mind" with Victoria, his behaviour changed. "I was a nothing because it's now Victoria, and Victoria and Victoria," she said, mocking the situation in a child-like voice. "Victoria, f***ing hell, Victoria." She added that she was usually allowed to accompany Dane on trips, but not this time. "I started thinking 'What just because you're with Victoria now, what is wrong with me going with you?' I was in tears."
Dane's Ultimatum Over Calendar Shoot
Dane had been unhappy with Katie posing topless, so she decided to cover up more in her glamour shoots. However, when the opportunity arose to shoot a new calendar, she jumped at it. "Why would I turn down doing a calendar? That's one of the great things to do, having your own calendar," Katie said. Dane gave her an ultimatum: either not do the calendar and remain in the relationship, or they would split if she went ahead. She chose the calendar. "I don't think she believed me. When those shots came out, I said 'That's it, we're over,'" Dane said in the documentary.
Katie and Dane dated between 1998 and 2000, and during their relationship, she fell pregnant but decided to terminate the pregnancy.
History of Feud Between Price and Beckham
Victoria and Katie's feud goes way back, with Katie previously claiming that Victoria sang "Who Let the Dogs Out?" when she walked into the lounge at Manchester Airport in the Nineties. Following the launch of the Spice Girls musical Viva Forever! in 2012, Katie hit out at Victoria, branding her "Misery Spice." After Victoria detailed her daily routine in Harper's Bazaar US, Katie lashed out, claiming the former singer must have had help from nannies and staff. Writing in her Sun on Sunday column, Katie said: "I'm sure Victoria is a brilliant mum and there is obviously a lot of love between her and her kids. But I don't think she's being entirely honest. What you don't see in all the shots of her being the perfect mum is the nanny who is probably pushing the buggy behind her."
