Katie Price has missed her weekly podcast and the glitzy London premiere of her upcoming film as she remains in Dubai with her husband Lee Andrews, prompting concern from friends. The former glamour model usually co-hosts The Katie Price Show with her sister Sophie every week, with episodes arriving every Thursday. However, no new show was posted this week; the last episode aired on 25 June, in which Katie discussed her recent documentary.
Missed commitments spark worry
Though Katie flew to London to promote her documentary Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, she was back in Dubai by the time her upcoming film Jackie The Stripper held its premiere on 2 July. She had told fans earlier in the week that she would not attend. Friends are reportedly worried about her priorities. A source told The Sun: “It is so unlike Kate to miss such a big work event. She always wanted to pursue acting, but now all Kate seems to care about is staying with Lee in their 'Dubai bubble.'” The source added that there is “real concern” Katie may miss more commitments, potentially damaging her position in the showbiz industry.
Katie defends her absence
Katie later took to Instagram to deny that Lee was the reason she skipped the premiere. She wrote on her stories: “I've cancelled nothing. I've actually been promoting my documentary for Sky and had a week off so why would I fly back to a film I'm not contracted to be at and only in for two mins?” She added: “I only do work I'm paid to do.” The star also reposted a story from someone else stating: “Katie was never contacted to attend the premiere and was not offered a fee to attend. She was expected to attend for free and to do press to promote for free! Katie features in the movie for two mins! Why would she fly all the way back from Dubai to attend something she's not obligated to go to!”
Life in the 'Dubai bubble'
Katie has been travelling between Dubai and England since marrying Lee Andrews in January 2026, just 10 days after they met. On 28 June, she announced that she and Lee had adopted a pomsky puppy, spending £2,000 on the dog. She described them as “proud parents” of a “baby boy.” This post came days after she revealed that her cats had gone missing from her home in England. The Mirror has contacted Katie's representatives and a representative for Jackie The Stripper for comment.
