Katie Price landed at Gatwick Airport on Friday morning without her wedding ring, despite having worn it throughout her trip to Dubai. The 47-year-old had travelled to the United Arab Emirates earlier this week in an attempt to help her husband Lee, who she claims is being held at Al Awir prison.
Price kept her followers updated on social media, stating: "I know he's in a prison. I've been told if two cases are paid they'll let him out. I'm going to see if that's true." Reports suggest that a sum of £100,000 must be paid to secure Lee's release. A source told the Mirror that Price is not ending the relationship, saying: "She's only taken her ring off to fly back to create a story. She's not wearing the ring but she's not left him."
During her stay in Dubai, Price visited the prison several times but also shared images of herself enjoying room service, lounging by the pool, and getting a Thai massage. She was accompanied by content creator Ben Algar and recorded material for her podcast, including a now-deleted episode featuring Lee's ex-wife Dina.
In the podcast clip, Dina, a 41-year-old Palestinian fitness coach who runs a cat sanctuary, discussed her past relationship with Lee. Price told Dina: "I came to Dina about one of the cases because I thought, is Dina involved? And then obviously we had a cup of tea, as girls do, we've had a long chat." The pair hugged at the end of the clip.
A source commented on Price's actions: "Everything is being monetised. Anything Katie does is monetised, that is her life. She's done this with quite a few of her exes, she'll do a big interview, write a book. She'll cash in on it."
