Katie Price has hailed her husband Lee Andrews as the 'best husband in the world' following their reunion in Dubai this week, after he was released from prison. The 48-year-old former glamour model flew out to see him and shared her affection on Instagram Stories.
Katie's Instagram Tribute
Posting on Instagram Stories, Katie wrote: 'Forever @wesleeandrews best husband in the world, completes me in every f***ed up away.' She added: 'Met my perfect match! And nothing will defy us!' The comments accompanied a photo of a large diamond ring on her finger.
Turbulent Marriage
Katie married the businessman in January, just days after they met for the first time. Their six-month marriage has been rocky: Lee went missing and was later discovered to be in prison in Dubai. Katie initially claimed he had been kidnapped after receiving concerning messages before he was due to board a flight from the UAE for a joint interview on Good Morning Britain in May.
Last month, Katie revealed Lee had a travel ban. She said: 'He has a travel ban, he did eventually tell me. I said to him, "No one will b****y care if you've got a flight ban. It's not a big deal!" The big deal is, you keep videoing, saying you're at the airport, and you're coming to England, and you don't turn up.'
Lee's Prison Release
Lee was recently released from Al Awir Central Prison in Dubai. In his first social media video after release, he sported longer hair and said: 'Hi everyone this is Lee I've been missing now for several weeks and I can now tell you I am now safe and healthy and with my wife.' He clarified: 'At no point have I faced anything to do with fraud allegations or criminal activities.' Lee thanked Katie for raising awareness: 'Thank you to Katie for making such a noise, where the UAE actually listened and let me go.'
Katie's Stance Before Reunion
Before Lee's release, Katie told The Sun she was ready to end the marriage if his explanations were unsatisfactory: 'I'm not a mug and when I finally see Lee, I'm going to question him. And if the answers I get aren't right, that'll be it, I'll be done. That's it. And I'll just get on with my life... and not find a man on Instagram.' She added: 'I cannot just walk away from my marriage without seeing him again. He is, surely, entitled to his say.'
