Katie Price has dissolved her KP Equestrian Ltd company, adding to her financial difficulties. The former glamour model, 38, set up the business a few years ago, offering riding leggings, body warmers, and T-shirts for women, men, and children.
Financial Details
According to the latest filing at Companies House, the firm had just £1,000 in its bank balance and was worth £15,000, down from £26,269 in 2022. The Instagram page for the brand has not been updated in over two years. Katie's former partner Carl Woods had previously modelled for the brand.
Love of Horses
Katie has long spoken about her passion for horses. She once said she "used to spend hours at the yard when she was a teenager grooming, mucking out, learning to ride, trimming, practising my plaiting and just being around the horses." She added: "Horses are my happy place and where I can take time out and calm my soul."
Husband's Imprisonment
The company closure comes as Katie's fourth husband, Lee Andrews, remains imprisoned in Dubai. He has reportedly been jailed twice at Dubai's Al Awir prison and had asked Katie to set up a GoFundMe to raise money for his release. Katie said she was initially told she would need to pay £6,500 for his release, but later learned she would need £140,000 due to another case relating to property. She refused to pay.
Katie's Statement
"This is real, this is real life; this is my life It has been a tough few weeks, don’t get me wrong. But I’ve still stayed strong through it all, and I have a smile on my face. So, in this situation, I’m doing what I want to do, and I’m out here in Dubai, because I’m here to help Lee. Some people might not like my choices, but I’m not living for everyone else. I know people have been calling me stupid, I see all the trolling, I hear it. I am not stupid," she said at the time.
