Katie Price Denies Lee Andrews Had Hair Transplant After Prison Release
Katie Price Denies Lee Andrews Hair Transplant

Katie Price has firmly denied that her fourth husband, Lee Andrews, underwent a hair transplant after he re-emerged from prison with a full head of hair. The 48-year-old former glamour model, who married Dubai businessman Lee Andrews just two weeks after meeting him earlier this year, addressed the speculation on her podcast, The Katie Price Show.

Prison Hair Rules Spark Confusion

Lee Andrews failed to board a flight to the UK for a scheduled appearance on Good Morning Britain, and it later emerged he had been detained at Al Awir prison in the United Arab Emirates. Strict prison regulations require all inmates to have minimal hair to prevent lice outbreaks among the 6,000 prisoners. When Lee was released and seen with a full head of hair, many fans assumed he had travelled to Turkey for a hair transplant.

On the podcast, Katie told her sister Sophie: "He didn't go to Turkey. He was missing, then was in prison. I'm sure one day he'll talk about it. You can't have a hair transplant in prison." When Sophie directly asked if Lee had a transplant, Katie replied: "No, but he does want a hair transplant and he will get a hair transplant. That is that, there's not really anything to say."

Katie Questions Double Standards

The former I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! star questioned why men undergoing cosmetic procedures attracts less scrutiny than women. She said: "Why is it when men, in general, have surgery, hair transplants, no one says anything but when us women do, it's this, it's that. Who cares if you're bettering yourself?"

She added: "When I go to Turkey, the amount of men who have hair transplants on the plane coming back. So what if people wanna look better for themselves? I'm all for it, same as I am for women. I have hair extensions, what's wrong with that? Most girls have hair extensions, no one goes about it. So, there you go."

Lee's Post-Prison Hair Reinvention

Weeks after his release, Lee filmed himself at a barbershop in Dubai, showing off his new hairstyle. Speaking to the camera, he said: "So here's today's hairstyle. We managed to do it a bit differently, and thanks to this little genius beside me, he's styled it really beautifully. It looks really good, I love it."

Reflecting on his new look after leaving prison with a buzzcut, he said: "So this is when you try to reinvent yourself. This is a wet through messy look. But we are slowly getting there. It's not too bad is it. This is a massive reinvention. Thank you to this guy... love it. It's a bit pineappley side at the moment but I don't mind it seems to do the job. I'll play around with it and see what's what. It's a good job isn't it!"
