Katie Price Denies Husband Lee Andrews Hair Transplant

Katie Price has firmly denied that her husband Lee Andrews underwent a hair transplant after emerging from prison with a full head of hair. The 48-year-old former glamour model married Dubai businessman Lee Andrews earlier this year, just two weeks after meeting him, and the couple has since been in the spotlight.

Lee Andrews failed to board a flight to the UK for a joint appearance on Good Morning Britain, and it later emerged he had been detained at Al Awir prison in the United Arab Emirates. Prison rules require inmates to have minimal hair to prevent lice outbreaks among the 6,000 prisoners. When Lee re-entered public life with a full head of hair, many fans speculated he had undergone a hair transplant, possibly in Turkey.

Katie Price Sets the Record Straight

On the latest episode of The Katie Price Show podcast, Price told her sister Sophie: "He didn't go to Turkey. He was missing, then was in prison. I'm sure one day he'll talk about it. You can't have a hair transplant in prison."

When Sophie directly asked if Lee had a hair transplant, Katie replied: "No, but he does want a hair transplant and he will get a hair transplant. That is that, there's not really anything to say."

Double Standards in Cosmetic Procedures

The former I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! star questioned why men receiving hair transplants attracts scrutiny while women undergoing cosmetic procedures is normalized. She said: "Why is it when men, in general, have surgery, hair transplants, no one says anything but when us women do, it's this, it's that. Who cares if you're bettering yourself?"

She added: "When I go to Turkey, the amount of men who have hair transplants on the plane coming back. So what if people wanna look better for themselves? I'm all for it, same as I am for women."

Price also defended her own use of hair extensions: "I have hair extensions, what's wrong with that? Most girls have hair extensions, no one goes about it. So, there you go."

Lee Andrews on His New Look

Weeks after his release, Lee filmed himself at a barbershop in Dubai, saying: "So here's today's hairstyle. We managed to do it a bit differently, and thanks to this little genius beside me, he's styled it really beautifully. It looks really good, I love it."

Reflecting on his post-prison buzzcut, he said: "So this is when you try to reinvent yourself. This is a wet through messy look. But we are slowly getting there. It's not too bad is it. This is a massive reinvention."

He added: "Thank you to this guy... love it. It's a bit pineappley side at the moment but I don't mind it seems to do the job. I'll play around with it and see what's what. It's a good job isn't it!"
